Free online courses from MGH Institute of Health Professions

Founded in 1977, MGH Institute of Health Professions is a graduate school in Boston and the only degree-granting affiliate of New England’s largest health care provider, Mass General Brigham.

Mass General Brigham was founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, two of the leading academic medical centers in the United States with histories dating back to the early 1800s. Our school's affiliation with Mass General Brigham offers our students unparalleled opportunities to learn alongside expert practitioners in a variety of hospital, clinical, educational, and community settings.

The MGH Institute of Health Professions is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We see an annual enrollment of 1,600 full and part-time students, and since our founding, we have graduated more than 10,000 students.

Health professions remain our singular area of focus—integrating classroom learning with research and clinical experience. We grant doctoral and master's degrees, award certificates of advanced study, and offer continuing professional development to practicing professionals, as well as to baccalaureate-educated individuals entering health care from another field. That unique focus is what motivates us, binds us, and brings us together around a shared purpose: to advance careers and care, together. Learn more about our school at mghihp.edu.
