Curriculum

Maryville’s online Bachelor of Arts in International Studies is a 128-credit program that teaches you how to interpret global issues, conduct cross-cultural research, and then offer impactful solutions, with coursework in general education, the international studies major, and electives. It is designed to help you develop a truly global perspective, with freedom to study a wide range of subjects. At the end of your program, you will work with faculty to tie your learning together through a capstone project and will graduate with the linguistic, experiential, and professional skills to excel on the global stage.

Admissions

The process for admission and enrollment is straightforward and hassle-free, with guidance from a dedicated admissions advisor. No application fees or entrance exams are required, and you can choose to start in the fall, spring, or summer. Maryville University is transfer-credit friendly and will even request transcripts on your behalf. Applicants who don’t meet the GPA requirements may be considered for provisional admission for certain programs.

To complete an application, you’ll need to submit:

  • A simplified, no-cost online application

  • Your high school diploma or GED

  • Official high school transcripts, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
