Women Leading Change: Shaping Our Future
About this Course
Society is undergoing seismic shifts, yet women still face barriers to achieving equality. Many of the structural hurdles they face have been heightened by global crises and the resulting economic fallout. These factors only emphasise the need to increase the capability and confidence of women to contribute to building more inclusive, sustainable organisations and societies.
The Women Leading Change: Shaping Our Future online short course from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) explores the personal and professional capabilities required to be a purpose-driven leader. Over eight weeks, you’ll expand your understanding of the challenges women face and the levers of change that can help to create more equal and just societies. Through tutor-led learning and peer support, you’ll enhance your ability to influence and drive transformational, systems-level change.
Learn from women leading change globally, in many sectors and disciplines, hear from leading practitioners and academics, and expand your network with the support of like-minded women from around the world. You’ll gain insight into creating psychologically safe environments, and develop tools to foster innovation and collaborations that drive transformational change. On completion of this course, you’ll walk away with a practical road map to drive positive change in your sphere of influence.
The course is for anyone ready to lead change in organisations and society through systemic transformation. It will benefit current and aspiring leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, providing fresh perspectives and a forward-thinking mindset. It’s for those looking to gain practical techniques and strategies to further accelerate change through their work within and beyond. It offers a safe space for reflection, reconnection, and time to identify, challenge, and overcome self-limiting beliefs and habits. If you want to be a part of a diverse community of students and contributors as they learn, inspire, and grow, this course is for you.
Create a comprehensive leadership action plan that will bring about transformative change and earn an official certificate of completion from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Assessment is continuous and based on a series of practical assignments completed online. In order to be issued with your digital certificate, you’ll need to meet the requirements outlined in the course handbook. The handbook will be made available to you as soon as you begin the course.
