Negotiation Programme
About this Course
Effective negotiation skills are crucial to success in any industry or organization. Great negotiators achieve results and enhance relationships by planning and tailoring their approach to the specific context rather than acting on impulse.
The highly interactive Negotiation Programme from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) enables you to reach your potential as a negotiator and enhance your business impact. Practice real-world scenarios with professionals from the UK and further afield in live online negotiations, where you’ll apply proven negotiation techniques in a digital environment. Over the course of six weeks, you’ll analyze different approaches to negotiating based on the communication channel, and investigate the impact of culture, power, and influence in negotiation. Finally, using expert insight and peer feedback, you’ll create a development plan to identify your personal negotiation style and provide an active record of your improvement.
Live online negotiation sessions will be between one-and-a-half to two hours long. You'll be able to indicate your time-slot preference for these sessions based on your time zone and schedule.
This six-week course is suitable for any professional interested in developing their strategic negotiation skills and confidence to become more influential, persuasive, and impactful. The skills you’ll gain are applicable across a broad range of industries and business functions.
The practical strategies and tools you’ll explore during this course on negotiation are relevant to both your current and future career. Novice negotiators will gain knowledge of new skills and techniques, while those with more experience will have the opportunity to hone their skills through an increased understanding of negotiation strategies and additional practice in live negotiation sessions. If you’re a professional, entrepreneur, or business owner who interacts with stakeholders, you’ll benefit from the practical nature of this negotiation course.
Discover practical tactics to use in negotiation contexts and earn an official certificate of competence from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Assessment is continuous and based on a series of practical assignments completed online. In order to be issued with a digital certificate, you’ll need to meet the requirements outlined in the course handbook. The handbook will be made available to you as soon as you begin the course.
