Leading the Future of Work
About this Course
The world has experienced a fundamental shift in the business landscape. Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are at the forefront of this, acting as the catalysts of workplace change. However, technology and business AI are only part of the evolution.
The Leading the Future of Work online short course from the MIT Sloan School of Management explores the various factors driving transformation and shaping the future of business design. It also highlights the role organizations, employees, government officials, and public policymakers must play in response to rapid change. At the heart of it lies the need for a new social contract — the mutual expectations and obligations workers, employers and their communities, and society have for work and employment relationships. By developing a high-road business strategy that benefits employees and shareholders alike, you’ll be better positioned to stay ahead of your competitors while leading your business forward into the future.
This program will appeal to anyone interested in the future of work technology and design, and how key changes will impact their career or organization. Business leaders and managers will gain the confidence to make decisions and implement strategies that lead their firms toward the future. Those working in the public sector — such as policymakers, government officials, or members of civic institutions — can use their new skills to influence labor and work development policies. Consultants or specialists in HR transformation, organizational design, business agility, and change management will gain the tools necessary to drive change in their respective organizations and workforces.
Examine the opportunities and challenges that emerge from the future of work and earn an official certificate of completion from MIT Sloan.
This program also counts toward an MIT Sloan Executive Certificate, which you can earn upon completion of four programs where at least three of the four come from your chosen certificate track and at least one is completed in person. Find full details here.
