This course on sustainability will focus on the challenges of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the current panorama of development cooperation.
In 2015, world leaders agreed on a set of global goals for the benefit of all nations, ensuring prosperity for all people. There are a total of 17 objectives, which must be achieved by 2030.
This is a course focused on sustainability intended for the general public to have a first knowledge of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for the year 2030 (Agenda 2030), its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the challenges that it raises U.S.
No prior knowledge is needed. It is an introductory course, so anyone interested in sustainable development or development cooperation can take it.
This course is an introduction to the 2030 Agenda and the 17 SDGs in which the following topics will be worked on:
Module 1: The SDGs
Module 2: International development cooperation
Module 3: Development ethics in the face of global challenges
Module 4: Challenges in governance to achieve the SDGs
Module 5: Achievements, challenges and first steps in the implementation of the SDGs
Module 6: From theory to practice. Examples of SDG implementation
