What our learners are saying
"Attending [the] boot camp … is the best decision I have ever made in my career path. As a freelance Graphic Designer I wanted to add a skill that will compliment my already established field. UT’s intense boot camp helped me prepare to face the real world and clients with confidence [and] to execute and deliver projects successfully. It also taught me empathy and user-centric design concepts that are helping me bridge the gap between my clients, developers, and end-users."

"I had a great experience and learned A LOT in just 6 months! I am much happier now that I am doing something that I love."
Lauren B.
The UX/UI Boot Camp Alum at UT Austin alum
"I chose to attend the boot camp when I was laid off due to Covid in March. I decided to transition into a UX/UI career path to make myself more marketable at the completion of the boot camp and beyond. It was a great decision because it gave me a much-needed jolt of career confidence in addition to the mandatory knowledge and skills to make myself attractive to employers in a growing but highly competitive space."

UX vs. UI
What is UX/UI?
Great design goes beyond stunning aesthetics. Learn to harness cutting-edge tools to create effective user-centric experiences. While UX and UI go hand in hand, they are two distinct, related disciplines. With The UX/UI Boot Camp at UT Austin, you’ll learn both in addition to web prototyping. Your learning will culminate in a portfolio that showcases in-demand skills — from storyboards and prototypes to interactive apps and responsive websites.
UX: The functionality.
User experience (UX) design is focused on eliminating friction for the user of a product or service. UX includes: interaction design; information architecture; wireframing; product design; plus user research, testing, and data.
UI: The look.
