In 24 weeks, MSU Cybersecurity Boot Camp will prepare you with the technical skills you need to protect digital environments. Through an immersive hands-on curriculum, you will not only learn fundamental cybersecurity methods, but also put them into action through practical exercises. The curriculum is delivered through live, online classes and high-quality coursework. Our instructors are fully vetted by the university and offer 1-on-1 virtual guidance to learners throughout the program.

About the Cybersecurity Boot Camp
Michigan State University, College of Engineering Cybersecurity Boot Camp, offered in partnership with edX, is made available through a unique consortium delivery model to provide skills-based learning to participants across Michigan and beyond. Participants will be taught by a university-approved instructor, while learning alongside students from other consortium-participating universities and institutions. Upon meeting the completion requirements, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion from MSU's College of Engineering.

All of our boot camps are part-time (18-24 weeks) and designed for working adults, students, and busy professionals, giving you the advantage of a flexible learning schedule. Students enrolled in our part-time programs should expect to attend live, instructor-led classes each week, setting aside an additional 20+ hours outside of class for self-study and projects. For those seeking a more accelerated learning experience, select coding boot camps offer a full-time (12-week) schedule with classes Monday through Friday.
All boot camps are offered fully online and include live, virtual classroom sessions led by university-vetted instructors with ample professional experience in their respective fields.
Throughout your boot camp and your career, you will have access to career counselors that offer resume review and interview prep, and you can tap into our global alumni community for even more networking opportunities. Boot camps are for anyone who is interested in advancing or getting started in a high-demand tech field. You do not need prior experience to apply to and succeed in a boot camp — you will receive academic and career support every step of the way.
No. You do not need a Bachelor’s degree or prior experience to enroll in a boot camp. Applicants must be 18 years of age and hold a GED or higher, however, a Bachelor’s degree is recommended for some programs. Speak to an admissions counselor to see if you meet enrollment requirements and how to prepare for a boot camp.
