About me

Dr. Paolo Tasca is a digital economist specialising in P2P financial systems. An expert on digital innovation, DLT, and complex systems, Dr. Tasca has been an advisor on DLT for international organizations, such as the EU Parliament and the United Nations. He has also performed the role of Lead Economist on digital currencies and P2P financial systems at the German Central Bank (Deutsche Bundesbank) in Frankfurt.

Dr. Tasca is Professor of Digital Technologies and Business Strategy at University College London (UCL), where he is also Founder and Executive Director of the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies (UCL CBT). He also Chairman and Co-Founder of the DLT Science Foundation (DSF), and has authored numerous scientific papers about blockchain published by prestigious international scientific journals. He is also a visiting scholar at the University of Zurich (UZH), as well as an associate of the UZH Blockchain Center. Dr. Tasca is also a blockchain entrepreneur, co-founder of blockchain unicorn "Quant" as well as patent holder of Overledger.
