Panos Kapotas is an Associate Professor (senior lecturer) at the University of Portsmouth Law School, where he is the director of the PhD programme of the Law School (Departmental Research Degrees Coordinator). Before joining the University of Portsmouth, he taught human rights law and EU law at the LSE and other UK Universities. His research interests range from human rights law and EU law to employment and labour law. He has published in leading law journals in English and in Greek and he has edited and co-edited books on the human rights law and labour law. He is a regular invited speaker at the Academy of European Law (ERA) and he has appeared before parliamentary committees in the UK as an expert on the implications of Brexit on equality rights. Since April 2020, Panos is a member of the Leadership Team of the Working Group on Equality and COVID-19 of the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality & Anti-Discrimination Law.
