About me

Dr. Pageler is a board-certified pediatric intensivist and one of the nation’s first board-certified clinical informaticists. She holds a master’s degree in medical education. She focused her thesis on the impact of computerized clinical decision support tools on clinician’s knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes. In her professional life, she has spearheaded the development of Stanford Children’s world-class Digital Health program, as well as multiple innovative computerized clinical-decision support tools. These provide point-of-care education to clinicians and enhance quality of care, efficiency, and patient safety. Dr. Pageler has also been active in shaping the curriculum for the emerging specialty of clinical informatics. She is the program director and co-founder of the Stanford Clinical Informatics Fellowship, and she chairs the national Community of Clinical Informatics Program Directors.
