About me

Dr. Melissa Rachel FOK is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong

Dr. Fok received Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees from the University of Hong Kong. She attained memberships in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in Dental Surgery (FHKAM) and a Fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong in the Specialty of Periodontology (FCDSHK).

Dr Fok partakes in the undergraduate and postgraduate education in Implant Dentistry at HKU and contributes to the clinical teaching of the European Federation of Periodontology’s accredited postgraduate education program in Periodontology, at HKU. She is a fledging researcher with a special interest in periodontal and implant research. She has published in peer-reviewed leading periodontal journals and is currently steering multi-national clinical trials in dental implants.
