Director of Cancer Health and Communications Research at U. Michigan Rogel Cancer Center
Dr. An received his medical degree and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. His research training includes fellowships with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the U.S. Agency for Health Care Research and Quality. Dr. An is currently an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of General Medicine at the University of Michigan. He is the Co-Director of the University of Michigan’s Rogel Cancer Center’s Center for Health Communications Research. Dr. An has prior personal experience in the development and evaluation of efficacious personally tailored health communications programs. As Director of CHCR, he oversees an established multi-disciplinary group of behavioral scientists, computer programmers and design experts that has developed over 100 programs utilizing a wide array of technology and communication channels. Dr. An has also worked extensively in the areas of clinical guideline implementation, quality improvement and health systems change.
