Executive Associated Dean of Faculty and Research and Professor of Finance at Indiana University Kelley School of Business Indianapolis
Kenneth Carow is Executive Associated Dean of Faculty and Research and Professor of Finance at Indiana University Kelley School of Business Indianapolis. He also served as Associated Dean of Indianapolis Research and Programs and Chair of the Undergraduate Program. Ken received his Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) designation in 2006 and graduated from Purdue University with a PhD in finance in 1993.
Ken teaches courses in corporate finance, financial risk management, and financial institutions at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Ken has taught at Indiana University, University of Tulsa, Purdue University, and Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea). While at IU, he has received ten teaching awards. Ken also serves on the Board of Directors for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and previously served on the board of directors for Lutheran High School Indianapolis and the Midwest Finance Association.
Ken’s primary research interests include financial institutions and the deregulation of markets. He has published a total of 26 papers in such leading journals as the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking , Journal of Banking and Finance , Journal of Risk and Insurance , the Journal of Corporate Finance , Strategic Management Journal , Journal of Financial Services Research , Journal of Financial Research , and other journals.
