Clinical Assistant Professor, Periodontology & Implant Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong

About me

Prof Ke Deng is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Undergraduate Program Director in the Division of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong. She earned her Bachler’s degree in Dentistry from Sun Yat-sen University of Hong Kong. Before joining the Faculty of Dentistry, she underwent advanced training in Implant Dentistry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Prof Deng serves on the junior editorial board of the Journal of Periodontal Research and is a guest editor for Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology and Frontiers in Immunology. She has published over 30 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has an H-index of 12. Additionally, Dr. Deng is the principal investigator for both the General Research Fund (GRF) and the Health Medical Research Fund (HMRF).

She has received multiple accolades, including being a finalist for the Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators Competition by the International Association (IADR), winning the Geriatric Oral Research Group Post-Doctoral Award from IADR, and receiving the best paper award at the 14TH Periodontal Academic Conference of the Society of Periodontology, Chinese Stemmatological Association (CSA). She also holds two Chinese patents and is the associate editor of the first Chinese book on robot-assisted dental implant surgery titled “Robot-Assisted Dental Implant Surgery-Practical Skills and Typical Case Analysis”.
