About me

Dr. Ian Yu-Hong Wong is Clinical Assistant Professor and Honorary Associate Consultant in the Division of Esophageal and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, Department of Surgery, The University of Hong Kong. He received post-fellowship training in Northwestern University, Chicago, USA and Seoul National University, South Korea. He is currently committee member and panellist of International Society of Digestive Surgery – Asian Pacific (ISDS-AP), Asian Pacific society of Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) and International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE). He specialises his research interest on esophageal and gastric cancer management; diagnosis and management of esophageal motility disorder and gastroesophageal reflux disease. He has also been a seasoned contributor to high-impact surgical journals including Annals of Surgery, Annals of Surgical Onoclogy, Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, etc.
