Dr. Abdulfatah is currently an Assistant Professor of Global Affairs & Islam in the College of Islamic Studies at HBKU & Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Conflict & Humanitarian Studies, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. He has also acted as a thematic independent consultant for the World Humanitarian Summit at the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs & provided consultancy services to OIC, International NGOs, & several NGOs in the last three decades. In addition to his experience in peace mediation & conflict transformation with the Cordoba Peace Institute Geneva, he has served in public sector management, policy, international humanitarian aid, & sustainable development policy-making at governmental & non-governmental organizations, & been a visiting lecturer with The Graduate Institute in Geneva. He obtained his PhD from the University of Exeter & his MSc. degree in management sciences from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
