Christina Heminger

About me

Christina Heminger, DrPH, MS is a Teaching Associate Professor at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health in the Department of Prevention and Community Health. She is experienced in using behavioral theory for health promotion and disease prevention efforts, especially in program evaluation, policy analysis, and health communication. She is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and has experience working in chronic disease prevention and control research, including in cancer; heart disease and stroke, diabetes, and other areas.

She exclusively teaches in GW’s MPH@GW online program, and currently serves as Course Director for PubH 6007: Social & Behavioral Approaches to Public Health, PubH 6500: Planning & Implementing Health Promotion Programs, among others. She was the 2017 recipient of the Milken Institute School of Public Health’s Excellence in Teaching Award and is the Chair of the GWSPH Master Teacher Academy.
