About me

Anne Marie Cammisa, Ph.D., is the Associate Director of the M.A. in American Government, as well as a visiting professor in the Department of Government and in the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. Dr. Cammisa is the author of four books and numerous scholarly articles. Two of her books were highly recommended by Choice magazine, and one of them was named by Choice Magazine as an "Outstanding Academic Title of 1998." Dr. Cammisa's primary research interest focuses on the congressional legislative process. As a senior fellow at the Governmental Affairs Institute at Georgetown University in 2010, she directed seminars and programs on Capitol Hill. She was also a research associate for the Urban Institute and an American Political Science Association congressional fellow, working in the offices of Senator Herb Kohl and Congressman Steny Hoyer.
