Curriculum

The online master’s in cybersecurity from Maryville combines in-demand technical skills and knowledge of vital business concepts with the opportunity to earn up to seven industry-relevant certifications such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist (ECES), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Cloud Certified Security Professional (CCSP), and Splunk Core Certified Power User. The program explores topics like cloud security, mobile forensics, wireless network security, cryptography, pen testing, and more. It can also help your progression toward management or the C-suite.

The core curriculum includes six courses. In addition, learners select their own electives based on professional interests and career goals — or can choose between two areas of emphasis:
