Change. We like how that sounds.
Calling all restless learners
You may have noticed that we’re showing up in a new way. Since our movement first began in 2012, you’ve taken courses, learned new skills, and earned credentials. You’ve come to learn, and you inspired us to do the same. We’ve learned about you, why you come to us to learn, and what you want for your future. That’s what inspired our brand evolution, which is centered on our fervent belief that restless learners change the world.
So you’re going to see some changes. We’ve evolved our branding to reflect who we are now. You’ll see it in our look and feel and voice, in the way we engage, and in our offerings. When you show up to learn, we’ll show up in a new way that makes it easier for you to achieve your goals.
The reason we’re here hasn’t changed
We might look and feel a little different, but it hasn’t altered who we are. We’ve long believed that every individual has the power to create change, whether in their life, their community, or the world. The transformative power of education is what unlocks that potential. Yet, access to high-quality education has been a privilege of the few. Back in 2012, we realized it was a time for a seismic shift in learning. From the tried and true to the leading edge. From “for some” to “for all.” edX was born with that mission, and it’s stayed the same since day one.
Our Mission:
Increase access to high-quality education for everyone, everywhere
Enhance teaching and learning on campus and online
Advance teaching and learning through research
Access the power to change your life. Turn on the power to change the world.
As a mission-driven organization, we’re relentlessly pursuing our vision of a world where every learner can access education to unlock their potential, without the barriers of cost or location. Our movement has grown to over 40 million learners, over 160 partners, and 15 thousand instructors, but we’re not stopping here—we’re just getting started. Join the movement and unlock your potential to change the world with us.
